Ashwin strolled out to the lake, book in hand. It was a sunny day, but it wasn't too hot, nor was it too chilly. In fact, it was rather the perfect temperature to be strolling about with friends and loved ones. If he had any of those, he probably would be out strolling with them as well. As it turned out, he wasn't particularly close to anyone, so he didn't see the need to walk around the lake.

Clasping the book to his chest, he used one arm to pull himself onto a branch in a tree that was near the lake. This way, he was hidden by the leaves in case anyone wanted to bother him, and he could see the sky and read at the same time. He leaned against the trunk of the tree, crossing his feet at his ankle. He didn't care if he fell or not, and it was rather comfortable just laying in the tree. He opened his book to the last page he was on and peered up at the sky before reading.

He had just enough sunlight that he could see, and the sounds of laughter around him brought a smile to his face. Yes, it was not too loud, but not too quiet. Though he usually preferred silence, he didn't like the white noise surrounding his ears that it brought on. No, if he had just a bit of noise, then he was good. He nodded to himself before he began to read his book.

Aria walked through the castle grounds her bare feet against the grass. Lindsey was off with the triplets and she had nothing to do but relax and spend time to herself. It had been a while since she had been alone with her own thoughts. She was glad for the time now to just sit and think about everything and nothing. Not have to worry or scheme, offer advice or a shoulder to cry on. She was just going to Aria Rose. Dorky, plain, nice Aria Rose. The thought of it just made her smile and as she walked toward the black lake she was glad that she was alone. Not that it should be misinterpreted. She loved her friends, liked helping people, even if Lindz disagreed, but sometimes she needed time to unwind and not have to live up to any expectations. Sometimes, she just needed time to be herself.

There were people at the lake but no one she knew. Instead she walked toward a tree planning to just lean against it and lie in its shade. This, she decided, was the perfect life. She knew that moments like these, where she was completely content with her life, were rare and so she was going to cherish today. Aria was happy, but she was also always ahead of herself. She was always in too many places at once but today she could just be here underneath this tree enjoying the moments in life that were given to her.

She laid against the tree, her eyes closed as she let the sun fall on her face. The warmth brought a smile to her face. She loved the outdoors, and even if her fair skin did burn as a result she still wouldn't go inside until it was necessary. She opened her blue grey eyes and looked up at the sky. She wouldn't have noticed anything different and would have closed her eyes again if the shoe hadn't stood out to her and struck her as rather odd. A floating shoe, however, the more she focused the more she could tell it was attached to something, to someone.

"Hello?" she called out to the owner of shoe. If there was no response she wouldn't care to investigate but if there was then she supposed it wouldn't be too much of a shame to make a friend on such a beautiful day.
