First Floor Corridor At the top of the marble staircase from the ground floor, is the first floor. The Entrance Hall and Great Hall are several stories tall, so they extend into this floor from below. From this floor you find yourself not far from Professor McGonagall's office. Muggle Studies Classroom Pretty self-explanatory, if you ask me. This is the class where Hogwarts students can learn about muggle culture, life-styles, tendencies, and cliches towards magical beings and creatures. The classroom does not require a lot of wand work and most of the class is spent doing things in a more Muggle manner. Office, Classroom	0	0
Defense Against the Dark Arts Classroom The room has windows looking out onto the grounds (out of which the pixies threw Lockhart's wand). An iron chandelier hangs from the ceiling, although it broke loose and fell during the pixie incident. The DADA teacher's office and quarters are located on the second floor. The class provides students with a firm backbone of defending themselves against dark wizards and witches of the era...as well as creatures that may cross their paths should they choose to set out into the Forbidden Forest. History of Magic Classroom A class that most students find boring. In History of Magic, students are taught the beginnings of Magics' journey into the world...students also learn of historical battles that took place between magical creatures, wizards, and other memorable happenings in the Wizarding world.
