Ministry of Magic Registration

The Ministry of Magic is the governmental authority for the Wizarding world in Britain. The basic mission of the Ministry is to keep the Muggles from finding out about an entire culture of magical folk. It's a huge, complicated, and inefficient bureaucracy, just like most governmental organizations.

The Ministry consists of seven departments of which the Department of Magical Law Enforcement is the largest. All of the other departments are in some way answerable to it, with the possible exception of the Department of Mysteries

Name: Rachel Noelle Fletcher

Age: 18

Appearance: Dark brown hair, green eyes, infectious smile, very seductive about her movements without meaning to be, shapely figure

Family History: Her father was born and raised in Britain, but he moved to the U.S. as an engineer for an oil company. He met his wife in Texas, where they were married and had two children, Alec and Rachel. There is a five year difference between the two. Rachel's mother was killed in a car accident when she was three and her father died ten years later of cancer. She was not too excited when her brother told her they would be moving to England, but she knew he wanted to get away from the U.S. and become a Healer at St. Mungo's.


Character History: She was born in 1999 in the U.S. Her mother died when she was only three. She started showing magical abilities shortly after, just as her brother had a few years before. She went to an American wizarding school until she was thirteen and her father died. Her brother was granted custody of her and moved her to London, where she transferred to Hogwarts. She finished school a year ago and is working as an assistant in a shop in Diagon Alley. She lives with her brother and she is dating a guy who doesn't necessarily treat her that well, but she goes for bad boys. She is beautiful, but still naive.

Weaknesses: She often makes bad decisions with the men she dates. She has issues trusting the right kinds of people, thinking that all of the good ones will someday leave her.

Strengths: She is smart, loyal, trustworthy, and stubborn. Could also be a weakness, but she uses it as a strength

Reason your charrie should have this job: Rachel is a very open minded girl and she often dreamed of traveling the world and meeting other cultures. She had been confined to America for the longest of time and finally being able to escape from there and come to England opened her eyes to all of the different cultures. Now she wanted to explore more and learn as much as she could.

RP Sample: There was nothing like having an argument with one of the representatives from Germany. Her German was already so rusty and Rachel thought that she would have lost their representation if she hadn't gotten it together.

Sighing she shook her head and continued down to her next meeting. Luckily she had been able to have the chance to brush up on her French.

Name: Shelby Lynne Marks

Age: 30

Appearance: Blonde hair, blue eyes, gorgeous smile, around 5'6, thin

Family History: Her parents were wealthy snobs who were good people, but only cared about money. She is the only child of Martin and Leeann Phillips.

Character History: Born in May of 1964 to a pure-blood family. She was sorted into Ravenclaw in school and went into the Ministry immediately from graduating Hogwarts. She never had a very exciting romantic life, until she met Randall Marks and accepted a marriage proposal on the same day. They married in August of this year and she had a miscarriage a few weeks later. Now she is pregnant with twins.

Weaknesses: Can be a bit spoiled, has a tendency to put her foot in her mouth and immediately regret it, can lose her temper quickly

Strengths: Extremely loyal to those she loves, she has a big heart with a strong capacity to care for others, she is very good at keeping a clean and organized home and work space

She knew her husband still loved his first wife. And though she had a tendency to compare herself to Dawn, she knew it was important for Randall to keep the memory of his first wife alive. It wasn't just because Dawn was Evelyn's mother, but because Randall had first lost his heart to her.

Name: Chase Michaels

Age: 40

Appearance: Very distinguished looking. He has salt and pepper hair and the most beautiful blue eyes ever seen. His smile is very warm and comforting and he has the most beautiful white teeth in the world!

Family History: Chase's father was a muggle lawyer and owned his own firm. At first he did everything he could to hold up justice and be a law abiding man. But after a couple of years he began to accept bribes when it came to certain cases. Although very corrupt he has never been put in jail and he still continues with his illegal activity in London today.

Chase's mother divorced her father and left, being the witch in the family and the only one that really knew about the wizarding world she took Chase's chance at learning about anything that had to do with magic. She went to Hogwarts and was in Hufflepuff House. She had been a stay at home mum for the longest time, until she left Chase's father. Now she runs her own diner in the states and rarely speaks with her son or ex-husband.

Character History: Because his father was rich and did not give a damn as to what his son did. Chase had to find out he was a wizard on his own. His mother had explained briefly that he was a wizard but he truly did not believe it until he received his letter from Hogwarts.

His father left him with a nanny who would take him to the train station every year. He went to the school and graduated at the top of his Slytherin class.

Chase is single, has no kids, and is an absolute workaholic! He loves his job so he sort of married his work.

Weaknesses: Doesn't know how to manage his time, tends to obsess about cases too much, can often lose himself in his work loads, sometimes too busy to go find love

Strengths: Dedicated, hard working, loves kids, hates people that break the law, great at arguing and getting his point across, confident in all he does, very protective.

Position: Head Warlock of the Wizengamot (Department of Magical Law Enforcement)

Reason your charrie should have this job: Chase wants to be the one person in his family that upholds justice. His father was a corrupt prosecuting attorney, Chase wants to show that he can uphold the law as a wonderful lawyer.

Chase also has a very argumentative behavior. He loves debating and he tries to make sure he never EVER loses an argument. And so far he has succeeded. He never loses a debate and he would never lose a case.

He is dedicated, smart, cunning, and a very manipulative person. All traits needed to be a good lawyer.

RP Sample: Chase sat at his desk reading over the file again. How many more of these was he going to get? What was it with people assaulting one another? This wasn't a case! This was bullshit! Surely the local police could sort this out? When was he going to get something worth his while.

"Mr. Michaels?"

Chase looked up his blue eyes shooting to his secretary.

"Yes?" he asked somewhat annoyed.

"You have a client waiting for you outside."

Chase sighed, his work was never done. Hopefully this client had something for him to go off of. It seemed that since the Dark Lord was vanquished his career life took a rather boring turn. Not that he was wishing mischief on anyone...but as a lawyer he fed off trouble...

"Send her in, please."

Name: David Campbell Graham

Age: 27

Appearance: Tall (6' 2), muscular, light brown hair. Sometimes sporting a full beard, sometimes clean-shaven. Dark, penetrating brown eyes. Warm smile.

Family History: His parents are both pureblood and he was raised with a healthy sense of superiority, nothing too over-the-top. They divorced when he was very young, he stayed with his mother the most often. His mother never worked a day in her life, she was independently wealthy from her parents large fortune. His father was Minister of Magic for a time and was assassinated during his term. David was twelve. He never talked about it.

Character History: Was born in the wealthy suburbs of London. Had a normal, healthy childhood other than being carted from home to home between his parents. Was sorted immediately into Slytherin house. He was popular and powerful in school...a deadly combination. He was arrogant and pompous until he met Laurel during his last year of school. She brought him back down to earth and he fell in love. They married when they were twenty and two years later, had their first child, a daughter named Melody. Jackson, their son, came three years later.

Weaknesses: Arrogant, argumentative, doesn't ask for help, never properly dealt with his grief over his father's death, can have a temper.

Strengths: Smart, kind to his family, very good at his job, spontaneous, romantic, loving

Why should your character have this position?: He has wanted to be a member of the wizengamot his whole life, his parent's divorce problems being at the forefront of those reasons. He has an addiction to the feeling of self-importance.

Name: Lucas Michael Davies

Age: 30

Appearance: Very tall at 6'3. He is well-built and has a killer smile. His features are sharp and he has gorgeous blue eyes and brown hair. 

Family History: His father worked for the Wizengamot and was killed by death eaters for helping to convict some of their friends. His muggle mother is still alive and lives in Kent.

Character History: Born in March of 1964. He was in Gryffindor in school and looked up to the older students who joined the Order of the Pheonix when they graduated.  He was going to play professional quidditch, but his father was killed by death eaters when Lucas was a fourth year and he lost interest. But instead of joining the Order, he decided to go the more common way to fight Voldemort and he became an auror. 

Weaknesses: Quick to anger when provoked, arrogant

Strengths: intelligent, highly skilled in Defensive magic, loyal, courageous, charismatic

Age: 26

Appearance: Short blond hair, blue eyes, Six feet tall and mildly muscular.

Family History: Parents were Muggles that never really noticed what was going on in their only son's life until he was accepted to Hogwarts at the age of 11. They were more concerned with their social standing. Vincent's mother was so vain that she didn't want to have any children at all, but couldn't bring herself to terminate her pregnancy when she discovered that she was expecting her son. Vincent's father was promoted to Executive President of his family firm and expected his son to follow in his footsteps, but soon learned that his child was not going to be.....exactly..... management material, as he started displaying magical powers at the age of two.

Vincent's parents still live in London, and have limited involvement in their son's life as he is nothing like them.

Character History: Vincent was placed into Gryffindor house when he was in Hogwarts, and he decided to go into Magical Law Enforcement when he left. He appauled his parents by applying to the Ministry of Magic's Auror department, as they thought it was beneath him, and were even more appauled by his choice in transportation, his beloved motorcycle. He met his future wife at nineteen and helped her with an Asthma attack. They married the next year.

Weaknesses: He is too stubborn

"Candy, what's wrong?" he asked. He listened to her raspy breathing and Disapparated to her office. He handed her the inhaler that he carried with him at all times, in case she needed it.

Name: Derren Meadows

Age: 45

Appearance: Of average height, hazel coloured eyes, light brown hair which is thinning on top and a small beard.

Family History: Derren was born in Glasgow Scotland but moved to Bath in England when he was 12. When he attended Hogwarts he loved every moment of it and it was where he met his lovely wife. He married her when he was 26 and his daughter Rozie was born a few years later. His mother is a celebrated fictional author and his father worked for the ministry in the magical law enforement department. He has another brother and a sister who he rarely sees because they both live in different countries, his sister in Sweden and his brother in South Africa. His daughter Rozie is the apple of his eye however they both share very different out looks when it comes to the world in general. She is opposed to eating meat and is a very innocent and sensative little girl, Derren thinks she get's it from his mother. All he wants is for her to do well in life and how can you do that when you're not healthy? Regardless Derren, his wife and Rozie live in a nice house in the countryside which is nice but sometimes it get's a little to quite and Derren misses the city.

Character History: He was an over achiever when he was in Hogwarts, well one would have to be when placed into Ravenclaw. He was a prefect and Head Boy and also the head of the chess club. He was the undefeated champion until he left school. He is a huge fan of food and loves a good steak, something his daughter doesn't find amusing. For a hobby he likes to practice his writing, a talent which he got from his mother. Derren is an avid workaholic when he is in work, but when he is at home he likes to do his own thing and not have to worry about work at all.

Weaknesses: Trying to get Rozie to eat meat, History and cleaning (well he just hates doing it)

Reason your charrie should have this job: Derren is super smart, a dilligent worker and likes this to be in perfect working order. He also had a vast knowledge of Geography which is handy for such a job.

Derren smirked to himself as he entered into the office. Today was the annual big inspection of the floo network and he knew that people were going to be terrified after that terrible scandal a few months ago which involved a lady saying the correct name of her destination but ended up 200 miles away from it.

"Right ladies and gentlewizards I hope you've got your floo powder at the ready because this year we shall be doing something a little different. After the fiasco that so plagued the prophet a couple of months ago I shall be asking you all to test the network. You shall be given the names of specific destinations and if one of you even lands a single fireplace away heads will role. A good floo network is one that work, but a perfect floo network is one that works like a well oiled machine." As he handed out the slips of parchment to the workers Derren felt an immense sense of satisfaction. He would get this floo network working perfectly even if it meant he had to fire a few people.

Name: Jayden Swift
Age: 22
Appearance: Jayden has brown curly hair that falls past her shoulders. Her golden skin makes her stand out among most of her peers, but it is her eyes that are truly breathtaking. She stands at an average 5'3". She is slender but her heritage gives her curves.
Family History: Jayden doesn't know much about her family. She was adopted at a very young age and her adoptive parents had a normal muggle upbringing. They were pleased when she developed her powers and overall it was a better experience than most people get. She has never had any interest to look up her birth parents.
Character History: Jayden was put up for adoption when she was two weeks old and was adopted two weeks later. She doesn't remember any of this, although she has always known she was adopted. She was raised as any normal child until she turned 11 and received her letter from Hogwarts. She was afraid of her parents reaction always knowing that they could give her back if they chose. However, instead, her parents reveled in the news and have been nothing but supportive through everything. She knew that most people don't have this kind of luck and so she decided to go into law enforcement to try and make the world easier for kids who already have it rough.
Weaknesses: Her family, her temper.
Strengths: She is very passionate about what she does. When she wants something she fights for it.

Age: 24
Appearance: Taylor has pale skin and dark hair and eyes. She looks like an older, sexier version of her cousin Svetlana. She stands at 5'5" but usually looks taller because of the heels.
Family History: The Verger's come from a long line of twins. Jeffery met Audrey their first year in Hogwarts. They became steady friends and soon that friendship developed into something more. As soon as they graduated they got married and Audrey soon gave birth to their daughters.
Character History:Taylor is the eldest twin. Her and her sister Harriet Morgan did everything together. They went to Hogwarts and were placed in the same house. Their bond grew stronger and by the time they were in fifth year the other could literally sense her twin. Which is why when Harriet started becoming distant and less talkative Taylor knew something was wrong. Her sister had fallen in with Death Eaters and was about to receieve her Dark Mark when their parents sent to her live in the states. Taylor was devastated but the event led her to join the Ministry.
Weaknesses: Her love for her sister. The fact that she only sees things in black and white, wrong and right.
Strengths: She's strong both physically and mentally, she's persistent.

Family History: He was born into a halfblood family. His father was a muggle and his mother a witch, and both of them equally loving and open to Dan pursuing a career in magical law enforcement. His parents are still alive and take great pleasure spoiling his two children when he is away from home on business with the other auror's

Character History: Daniel never married, but he had one woman he loved desperately. They had been together since his third year at Hogwarts and continued their relationship outside of school. She got pregnant with their first daughter (insert name here) when they both had been 29. Because of his auror training Daniel had insisted that they wait to have children and at first he had been completely against it, but as soon as his little one came to be he fell in love with her and made it his life mission to take care of her and protect her from the evil outside.

When he turned thirty two his lover had conceived his second child Felicity Marrow, but at a great price. The stress of giving birth to their second child caused her to bleed out, leaving Daniel a single father to raise his two girls. He never complained though, he loved his girls, claiming that so long as he had the both of them in his life he would be forever happy, and so far it has been that way.

Weaknesses: Overly protective of his children, tends to be hot tempered, very stubborn, strict, a regular disciplinarian.

Strengths: Strong, smart, a dedicated father, loves his girls, extremely fit for his age, dedicated to his auror career

Appearance: Tall, thin and beautiful. She has long, dark hair, sometimes brown, sometimes black. She has sharp features and beautiful green eyes, as well as a perfect smile.

Family History: See Steven Dawson

Character History: Eden was born in March of 1972. She is the third oldest of the Dawson family. She was born in America and always had many friends and boyfriends. But she never felt fulfilled there. She longed to move to England when her brother did, but she didn't have the funds. Until Steven could make sure she had a job, she was forced to remain in the states. But now that she is working for the Ministry in England, she is happy and excited to see what London has to offer her. Her other brothers were getting into trouble in the states and they were trying to influence her to do so as well. So getting out of the country was the best idea for her.

Weaknesses: She's a party girl, so sometimes she doesn't have the best judgement. She gets into trouble for speaking her mind. Not the most graceful person. She has an attitude when provoked.

Strengths: Kind, friendly, sense of humor, loyal to her family, outspoken, strong.

Position: Ministry Receptionist, Atrium

Reason your charrie should have this job: Because she is kind and bubbly, and her brother helped her get the job.

She always hated going to Minister Dumbledore and telling him that someone cancelled on him. He never seemed too disappointed, but her imagination believed him to be so. And the thought of that twinkle disappearing from his eyes made her heart hurt.

Name: Steven Dawson
Age: 26
Appearance: He has a very strong jaw. His eyes are a light brown bordering on grey. His body is covered in magical tattoos that move or ripple when his adrenaline spikes. He stands at a very formidable 6’2” with broad shoulders and thick legs.
Family History: The Dawson family is a very normal American Wizarding family. They are lower middle class, with Dawson’s father working in construction and his mother being a teacher. They had nine childrent.
Character History: Steven Dawson second oldest of 9 children.. He was constantly picked on at school for being poor and it wasn’t until he started magic school that he became more accepted. He went into law enforcement at first for the ministry before deciding to become an American Representative in England for the International Confederation of Wizards. He hopes to work there long enough so that eventually he can become Supreme Mugwump for the federation. He really enjoys his job but misses some of the action that comes from being an Auror .
Weaknesses: The love of his life. Mia Watts and his family mainly his siblings and his closest sister. He wants to be able to defend them but he isn’t sure he can do so without breaking the law.
Strengths: He always goes for what he wants and no obstacle is enough to deter him.

Why should your character have this position?: Steven has worked really hard in his life to make up for his corrupt family. He was in law enforcement for five years before deciding to transfer over to a safer job to appease his girlfriend. However he has always wanted to travel and requested to be placed as an Ambassador in England. While his superiors were reluctant to give him the position at first upon reviewing his work history they decided he was the best man for the job in a country that had just gotten over basically a dictator (Lord Voldemort).
RP Sample: Steven packed his bags with mixed emotions. On the one hand the job move would bring him closer to his long time girlfriend, on the other hand it would also mean that he wouldn’t be able to keep an eye on his family. Ever since their mother had died his older brothers had been wreaking havoc. They had joined gangs and were careless about who witnessed them performing magic. They had a lot of run ins with Magical Enforcement and he felt that these encounters would only increase when he left.

He thought carefully about his decision and at last the one thing that had made up his mind was his mother’s words to him. “Live your own life.” She had told him and with this move he felt like he would finally be able to begin it.

Name: Kathleen Rose

Age: 34

Appearance: Long black hair, and bright blue eyes, she is a very beautiful woman. She has a slim frame, but manages to uphold a wonderful shape.

Family History: Kathleen is from a long line of auror's. Her father and mother were both purebloods that ran with only the most prestigous familes. Of course in many ways Kathleen disagreed with their methods and life style but her parents loved her regardless. Her father, Stewart Wayne was sorted in as a Ravenclaw. Being a very avid duelist and potion maker he excelled through school with only the highest marks. He met the love of his life Isabelle Quindell his sixth year of school and dated her for several years.

Character History: Kathleen went to Hogwarts chasing after nothing but knowledge and the hopes to work in the Ministry as an Unspeakable. Her astute mind and high GPA aided her in doing so. She was in the same house as her parents, excelling even beyond some of her Ravenclaws. And she had made friends with as many people as she could. The one friend she wished she could have held onto being Sirius Black.

As school continued Kathleen saw him as more of the brotherly type and found a great friend in him, whereas everyone else saw more of a playboy. However when the death of the Potter's arouse and her friend was sent to jail she moved on from him and got married several years later to Jake Rose. Jacob and her had dated several years, were engaged for two, and married happily. They conceived their first child when she was twenty-nine and for several years raised their child together...until his sudden death from a brain anuerism.

Single with a little five year old girl, Rebecca Adaliene Rose, Kathleen finds herself seemingly happy...and still in search of the man that could mend the broken heart her husband left her with

Weaknesses: Her emotions can sometimes get in the way of work, she has a temper, she tends to base her decisions off of heart rather than logic.

Strengths: Protective of her baby, an ACE at wand work, highly intelligent, easily lovable, trusting, dedicated.

Name: Albus Percival Wulfric Brian Dumbledore

Appearance: Piercing blue eyes, long silvery-white hair and beard, half-moon glasses,tall, thin, crooked nose

Family History: Would anyone care for a Pumpkin Pastie?

Character History: (This is the public character history.) Albus Dumbledore defeated the dark wizard, Grindelwald, in 1945. He is known for his work with Nicolas Flamel, as well as discovering the twelve uses of dragon's blood. He is Order of Merlin, first class and Grand Sorcerer; Supreme Mugwump of the International Confederation of Wizards; Just recently stepped down as Head Warlock of the Wizengamot. He became Hogwarts Transfiguration Professor in 1938, and Headmaster in 1955.

When Harry came to him and told him the truth about Sirius Black, Dumbledore stood up for him. This was one of the reasons he chose to become Minister. He didn't like it, but he knew his title as Minister would be worth its weight in gold. He was able to clear Sirius of all charges, and with the help of Severus Snape, they gave Sirius the post at Hogwarts. As for Severus, he was the simple choice for Headmaster. He often wondered if he placed too much on the younger man's shoulders. But he knew that Severus would not have it any other way. Albus saw himself in the boy as he watched him now.

"Your office is prepared, my boy. I wonder if I might take my dish of licorice snaps with me...would you mind terribly if they were absent during your time as Headmaster?"
