Armistad looked over the list that he had just pulled from his pocket and crossed off the items he'd just purchased in the last shop he'd been in. He was redoing his bedroom and had been purchasing carpet. Next he was going on to another shop where he would be trying to locate matching drapes, or at least something as close as he could get.

Folding up the list again, he placed it back into his pocket and started off down the street, ignoring the looks that he was getting from some of the women that he passed. He'd been told all his life that he was attractive, but he honestly didn't see it. Maybe it was his eyes. He smiled at a young woman that nearly ran into him as she just couldn't take her eyes off them as she was passing him. He thought he heard her squeal as he moved off down the way. He shook his head and chuckled softly.

Reaching the store, he held the door open for a little old couple, receiving a pat on his cheek and was told that he was such a nice young man. Armis had heard a lot of things in his life, but that one always made him grin. He followed them into the building and started looking for his drapes. He knew that he didn't want the hideous blue. Maybe a slate gray. That would certainly go with the carpet he'd purchased.

He looked over the drapes that were on display, finding fabrics that he liked, but not in the color that he wanted, or he liked the color, but not the fabric. He sighed, thinking maybe he should find a different color. Or maybe he would get blinds.

Wandering toward the back of the shop, Armis began looking just in general. He thought that his carpet wasn't really gray. It was a plaid, but the slate gray would have set it off nicely. Then he found a curtain that he liked very much. It would go with the carpet, and since he was going furniture shopping next, it would make it easier to locate a bed that he liked, that would fit with the new decor. He just couldn't take that blue and gold any longer.

He ordered and paid for the curtains, arranging delivery for the next day since he'd not brought the van with him, and headed out the door, feeling very happy. He was having fun redoing his room!

He pulled out the list and crossed off 'curtains' as he walked, and since he wasn't looking where he was going, he ran smack into another person.

"I'm so sorry!" he said as he scrambled to keep hold of his list, which was fluttering in the air, evading his hand. He looked up and saw that the person that he'd hit was someone that he knew.

"Well, Hi!" He grinned happily. His day just seemed to be getting better all the time.

Armis

Crimson had skipped school and taken it upon herself to sneak some Floo Powder so she could sneak away from a couple days of freedom. So far she had been gone for the entire weekend and two school days. It wasn't anything she wasn't accustomed too and Crimson had money of her own that Armistad gave her weekly. And what she couldn't buy Crimson knew that she could just take. She was quite the thief when she needed to be. But today was gorgeous and she really had no need to steal. She was kind of hungry though, and a little low on funds. Taking out her cell phone and checking the time she began making her way down the muggle streets of London. She wasn't sure what she felt like eating, all she knew was that it needed to have ketchup. She wanted fries and a burger...McDonalds would have been ideal, but it was so hard to steal from them when one didn't have a car.

She was sure she could figure it out. Maybe she could flirt herself a burger. Smiling at the thought she was about to continue walking when she felt herself ram smack dab into someone. She was just about to curse them out when she realized who it was and her mouth ran dry. It was Armistad! Of all the damn bad luck in the world why did it have to curse HER so?! She was going to be in so much trouble if he saw her out here! Maybe she could back away and run without being noticed; but something told Crimson that she was already too late. He had spotted her and was no doubt already prepared to take her behind back to the school or to the Gallery of Calm. Her stomach growled loudly...but maybe he wouldn't object to feeding her first...she was absolutely famished!

Crimson

(OOC: I'm not sure if you want to change what Armistad says to fit the reaction...I don't think he would be too happy to see her under the present circumstances...but it's up to you.)

Armis hugged his foster daughter to him for a moment before it dawned on him that it was lunchtime. And Tuesday. What the hell was Crimson doing out of school? And walking along a street by herself in Muggle London? He tucked the paper back into his pocket, his crystal eyes narrowing as he surveyed the teen in front of him now. She was out of school, and there was a reason. Whether it was because she was suspended or she was skipping, he didn't know, but he was going to get an explanation from her.

He took her by the arm gently and led her to a bench, sitting down and looking at her. "What are you doing out of school, Crimson?" he asked. "You had better have a great explanation, and not one that is just because you didn't want to be there."

He kept his voice low, so that people walking past them wouldn't hear their converstation, but he let his frustration and anger come out full force. He'd been having such a nice day, and now this. He was going to have to talk to the Headmaster about what had happened, and find a way to make sure that she didn't do this again.

"How long have you not been in school, and where have you been when you're not there?"

He didn't want to have to write a letter to the school, and to the foster placement agency, because they might recommend that she be taken to another home, where she would be under stricter supervision, and Armis loved Crimson like she was his own. He wanted her to stay, very much.

"Start talking, Crimson."

Crimson sighed and looked away. How did Armistad expect her to come up with an excuse that quickly? Usually she had time to think up such a great lie...right now all she could do was shrug her shoulders. She had nothing against Hogwarts, nothing at all...as a matter of fact she really liked the school. Sometimes she just liked feeling bad and doing things she knew she wasn't supposed to. It was part of the rush...and it pumped blood through her veins at lightening speeds. But she knew that wouldn't be valid for her Foster father.

"I don't know..." she grumbled, her tone uncaring and rather bored.

She didn't really care much about being grounded...if anything at all. She knew that Armistad would lecture her and maybe take something near and dear to her; but she knew that she would always get it back. She had fun on her own the past couple of days and it just made her feel so alive. She was sure that Armistad had to understand that a little bit...and if he didn't then it was truly his loss...she could not make him long for excitement.

"Do we have to make a big deal out of this?" she continued. "Because it's not. I was going to go back tonight...if you wouldn't have caught me your probably wouldn't have even noticed I disappeared...so lets just drop it."
